One thing that I’m really hot on regarding my health and beauty regime is ensuring to take care of my skin. After suffering with bad breakouts throughout my teens, my skin has finally started to become a little clearer now that I’m in my 20’s. I never want to go back to having spot problems like I used to so I follow quite a strict skin care regime – washing my face with a gentle face wash twice a day, giving foundation a break at weekends and cracking open a face mask at least once a month for a thorough cleansing.
My go-to shop for face masks is Lush. They are great value as a tub can last me a few months and they are all handmade from natural ingredients and essential oils. Recently, I tried one of their fresh face masks, Brazened Honey.
This one is for tired looking skin so it’s perfect for if you’ve had a long, stressful day and your skin is in need of a boost. It promises to be exfoliating, stimulating and nourishing with fresh fruits being blended with Ayurvedic herbs and spices, ground almonds and honey.
You keep these in the fridge to keep the ingredients from going off which makes for a perfect summer’s day. I tried this when it was really hot outside so I was in need of cooling down. With the mask coming straight out of the fridge, it was so nice and refreshing on my skin!
The mask smells incredible and is nice and thick so you can pile it on. I found it really easy to apply; it glided across my skin and didn’t dry out too much. You only need to leave it on for 5-10 minutes before washing it off, perfect for if you’re in a rush. I left the mask to work its magic for 10 minutes before removing it.
My skin felt incredible soft afterwards. In the past, I’ve had to use moisturiser after using a face mask as some of them dry out my skin but this one truly nourished my face. I noticed a soft glow to my skin again and it just made me feel so fresh and alive! In addition, it smells incredible and creates an aura of calm for if you want to lie back and unwind.
I’ll definitely be using this mask again and cannot wait to try even more of the fresh face mask range! Have you tried any Lush face masks? Which one is your favourite? Tweet me @SheWhoLives1 or leave a comment below!
