If you’ve been with me for a while, you will know that I absolutely love a good healthy food substitute I love food and I love eating and I hate the idea of having to deny myself anything. This is why I don’t believe in diets – I think they are utterly ridiculous and don’t work at all. Denying yourself chocolate, sugar, carbs only increases your craving more – at least that’s what I find so finding an alternative is a great way to nip those cravings in the bud.
The other night, I found myself craving a pizza. My mouse was one click away from the Dominoes website and the only thing that stopped me was my dwindling bank account balance! Oh, and the fact that I’m supposed to have abs by June!
Instead of fighting the craving and having a salad, I looked for an alternative. Knowing that the body coach would not let me down, I flicked through his first/second book and found the scrummiest looking pizza! Tasty, cheap, easy and super quick to make, this was a winner and I’ve had it three more times since!
1 wholemeal wrap
A handful of Serrano ham
Half a can of chopped tomatoes
1sp tomato puree
Half a can of kidney beans
1 tsp oregano
A large handful of wilted spinach
Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees and grease a large tray.
Mix the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, kidney beans and oregano in a bowl. Place the wrap on your baking tray and spread the tomato mixture all over your wrap.
Scatter the ham over your base. Wilt the spinach by placing in a sieve and pouring some boiling water on it. Scatter the spinach on your pizza.
Make a well in the middle of your pizza and crack the egg into the space you’ve created.
Whack the pizza in the oven for 8-12 minutes until the egg is cooked.
Dig in and enjoy!
