Summer has arrived in the UK and we finally have a bit of heat! I don’t know about you guys but the last thing I want to do on a hot day is pile on the make-up. I just don’t like the idea of a thick foundation clogging up my pores when my skin simply needs to breathe. On most hot days, I will just go make-up free as I feel my skin really does benefit from soaking up the vitamin D. However, some days you still feel like you want to put a little something on your skin and I think I have found THE best products.
L’Oreal Paris have recently launched a new set of products designed to make your skin glow in the summer sun. As I was on the hunt for something that was a little lighter than foundation, I decided to give the Bonjour Nudista a try.
This BB cream is described as a “nude skin tint that awakens your skin with a radiant finish”. It’s infused with apricot oil, green tea extract and anti-oxidant Vitamin E, hydrating and nourishing the skin – just what you want on a summer’s day!
I honestly love this product. I chose the medium colour and it blends into my complexion so nicely. I think I even prefer it to putting on foundation as it just looks a lot more natural. It make my skin feel really nice and soft and if I want just a little bit of extra smoothness, I simply lightly dust my skin with my Max Factor pressed powder – you get a really nice smooth, matte look. More importantly, it feels so nice and light on my skin so when I’m out in the hot sun, I still feel like my pores can breathe.
Another little beauty is the Glow Mon Amour Highlighting Drops. I love a good highlight in the summer and this is so dreamy. I went for the ‘Champagne’ colour and oh my goodness, it creates an insane golden glow. The little dropper in the top makes it super easy to apply and you only need a couple of drops on each side of your face. The drops then blend in so nicely when you sweep them across your cheekbones with your finger.
